Gay Pride Month
Now We're Cooking!

Food. Family. Friends. Sharing at table. Some of the most basic things in life.
50+ years after we both came out to our families and friends, kids today not only have to face the same issues of guilt, shame, and loneliness we felt oh so many years ago but our current political climate is fanning the flames of hate, lies, and ignorance that are making lives even worse.
21 years ago, John Grogan – author of Marley and Me – wrote a column about us in the Philadelphia Inquirer. Ordinary People Vowing to Marry. That’s us – Ordinary people. That’s gay people, straight people, transgendered people – people of all genders and colors. Ordinary People.
We’re just like anyone else.
1n 1995, we registered as Domestic Partners in my hometown of San Francisco. In 2000 we registered as Domestic Partners with the State of California. In 2010 we were legally married. ln 2014 our marriage was recognized in all 50 states.
We’re married. We own a home. We pay our taxes. We’re not going away. We’re not going back into the closet.
We’re Ordinary People. Sharing food, sharing recipes. Always adding another seat to the table.
