The case of the Missing Passenger was solved late last night when we ran into her having a cigarette in the wee hours of the morning.  She said she had fallen asleep and missed all of the dinner calls, etc.  Works for me.

And… she was back up for breakfast this morning…

Speaking of breakfast, I had a really good omelette – zucchini, tomatoes, capers, and lots of herbs.  I also had a side of grits and a side of bacon, croissant, cranberry juice and coffee.  I’m sure I won’t be hungry for at least an hour.  I do have to admit that the food has been pretty good, thus far.  Considering the kitchen is a dinky little place, they’re doing a pretty good job.  And our wait staff is excellent.

Our table companion this morning was a charming woman from Glenwood Springs, CO.  She and her husband were coming back from San Francisco after visiting their daughter who just started a job as a lawyer working in the BofA Building.  Naturally, we had lots of things to talk about!

Last night we settled in with The Maltese Falcon and by 10pm were snoring away – for a while.  The “gentle” rocking of the train was much more than either of us expected and we found ourselves waking up quite a bit.  I can sleep anywhere and actually felt reasonably refreshed this morning.  Victor will probably take a nap at some point.
