Pulse to mix.<\/p>\n<p>Chop up frozen butter and add. Pulse until butter is incorporated and mixture looks grainy.<\/p>\n<p>Slowly add ice water and pulse until mixed.<\/p>\n<p>Turn out onto counter. Press and form mixture into two disks . Wrap in plastic and refrigerate about an hour to allow the flour to properly absorb the water and to relax the gluten.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Pasties<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>3\/4 pound beef, chopped<\/li>\n<li>1-2 medium-sized potatoes, small dice<\/li>\n<li>3 carrots, small dice<\/li>\n<li>3 stalks celery, small dice<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 onion, minced<\/li>\n<li>2 cloves garlic, minced<\/li>\n<li>salt and pepper, to taste<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp thyme<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup heavy cream<\/li>\n<li>1 cup shredded cheese<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cook vegetables in skillet until almost tender.\u00a0 Add beef and cook until done.<\/p>\n<p>Add seasonings.\u00a0 Add heavy cream and heat through.<\/p>\n<p>Remove from heat and add cheese.\u00a0 Cool.<\/p>\n<p>To assemble:<\/p>\n<p>Divide dough into 4 balls.\u00a0 Roll each out on floured board to about 8\u2033 circles.\u00a0 Scoop generous cup onto each round.\u00a0 Brush edges with beaten egg and fold in half to seal.\u00a0 Use fork to crimp edges.<\/p>\n<p>Bake in 375\u00b0 oven 35-45 minutes or until well-browned and heated through.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column
